Denbies Wine Estate

Located on the North Downs in Surrey, Denbies is a family owned and run agricultural business.  The first vineyards were planted in 1986 and they currently (2014) have 110 ha of vines, making it one of the largest wine estates in the UK.

They produce a range of table and sparkling wines, the most well-known of which is marketed as Surry Gold.  This is  a white table wine produced from a blend of Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus and Ortega.   Produced since 1990, for many years Surrey Gold has been England's best selling wine.

In 2011 Denbies English White became the first English wine to be included in Tesco's Finest wine range

Visitor facilities have been well developed in order to provide attractions to tourists throughout the year.  They include a farm shop, gift shop, two restaurants ands a vineyard tour.  These have resulted in Denbies being one of the largest wine tourism destinations in the UK with ca. 350,000 visitors per annum.

The estate also includes farmhouse accommodation and conference facilities.

Since 2009 Denbies has hosted the biennial International Sparkling Wine Symposium.
